Overview We are looking for an analytical and metrics-driven rock star sales manager or director with proven leadership skills to scale up and improve our inside sales team in San Francisco.

This is the perfect time to join Trulia as we are in an expansion mode and this newly created position is key to scaling the existing inside sales organization. As Trulia’s Director of Inside Sales based out of San Francisco CA, you will be instrumental in orchestrating the inside sales process and infrastructure, executing these processes through effective hiring selection, coaching and mentoring of the inside sales team, and driving the organization’s sales revenue with a large volume of transactions.
Responsibilities • Work closely with the senior management and marketing team to develop, execute and refine the sales strategy and plan
• Recruit, mentor and manage a growing team of inside sales representatives
• Create and deliver training programs to ramp new sales people quickly and help existing sales team improve and meet ever growing revenue goals
• Set sales quotas and other measurable goals for the team
• Create, monitor and continuously improve metrics on sales and closing ratios and optimize sales cycle management
• Prepare and present daily and weekly forecasting and reporting
• Work within budget guidelines to maintain target profitability
• Establish and implement policies and standards to ensure quality and consistency
• Organize and manage multiple priorities and be results oriented
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree a must, MBA preferred
• Have a metrics centric approach to optimizing sales productivity and results, utilizing numerous tools
• Tireless problem solver with an insatiable appetite to improve every detail of a business process
• Experience in hiring, firing and motivating a large group of people
• Proven success as a team player working within cross functional teams across outside sales, product, engineering, marketing, operations and customer service to achieve common goals
• Experience managing an inside sales team, ideally for an internet and/or media company
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills as demonstrated by the ability to write, communicate and present clearly
• Working knowledge of Salesforce.com a must
